K-12 Astronomy Education Asia brought together astronomy educators in Asia for discussions and discourse about teaching astronomy in schools in Asia. We attended the 4 day event that was organized by the International Training Center for Astronomy at the Princess Sirindhorn Astropark at Chiangmai, Thailand. We had a great time learning from and meeting like minded individuals, all striving to make learning a better and more effective experience through astronomy.
We presented on our ideas and experiences on sharing astronomy at a Thai school in Bangkok, as well as using a Smart Telescope to teach students astronomy. The discussions and feedback we got were very valuable and we strive to continue our efforts in inspiring and educating students in K-12!
